Richard Young with Event Rentals - Congratulations & Welcome to the NACE
"Star of Fame".
Since September of 2000 Richard has been very involved in the New
Orleans Chapter. As his business has grown, so has the level of his
donations. It's quite obvious that Richard has a special place in
his heart for NACE.
We don't see Richard as often as we would like but we know he is
just a phone call away.
Richard, thank you for your support, generosity and for always being

NEWS
OUR HISTORY
Event Rental,
LLC was formed in 2003. The company evolved from Young Rental
Co,
Inc which was formed in 1982 by George R. Young. The company did
business as Taylor Rental which was a franchise. The original company
was located at 2044 Manhattan Blvd in Harvey, Louisiana. It was a
combination of tool rental and party rental.
Young Rental Co. was one
of the first party rental companies in the south. George Young, and a
combination of his sister Sissy, and two sons Richard and Steven,
managed the company for the first 10 years.
As the party rental division evolved, George and Steven decided to
separate the party division into a newly created company Crescent City
Tents and Party Rentals which was located at 524 Amelia St.
The
company's main focus was tents, tables, and chairs and became a
industry leader in Louisiana. In late 1995, George Young sold
the tool rental Taylor Rental to his other son, G, Richard Young Jr.
Richard Young commenced major changes with that company and dropped
the franchise as Taylor Rental and assumed the name Young Equipment.
This company quickly became a leader in the construction rental
business.
In 1999, Richard sold his lighting and sound company, Crescent City
Sound and lights and decided to focus his full energy in developing the
party rental business, with his brother Steven Young.
Crescent City Tents and Party Rental then soon evolved into Event
Rental LLC, which did business as New Orleans Event Rental. Within
three years, Event Rental has become the only one stop shop special
event rental company in the south, with divisions ranging from audio
visual to tenting to decor and more....
